A wonderful group of birdies have been lured to my garden with sunflower seeds in a bowl in a pedestal. I put out the seeds and sit back with my drawing tools. What is so funny is how fast they move, so I get them in a variety of poses quickly. Garden flowers and nature imagery have been a favorite of mine for a long time, so the addition of birds and garden together has been a rich resource for a new series of paintings.
