Bear Repair

I fell in love with rough hewn carved bears many years ago and a little over a year ago I bought one from Jack Eppinga who carved it out of pine and darkened it with blacks and browns. Even Bunny was excited about the new arrival.

Bunny meets Bear

Bear has a great expression.

But after a while in the drier climate Bear began to split. Using sawdust and glue and glitter, Amy and I got to work filling the cracks. After drying, I added washes of acrylic paint to set the glitter. Magenta, black and gold, and then some green around the base. Bear is ready for their close up!
