Went to the L A Artshow
Today I went to the L A Art Show at the Convention center downtown. What drew me in were mostly collage works. There was also some woven works presented in a modern way. Lots of painting, some realistic, some more deconstructed.
Iris on wood

For the Love of Irises
A small amount of winter rain brought out the Irises in my garden. Delighted, I cut a few and enjoyed painting them.
New Masks and Busts
A few weeks before Halloween, I created a group of 14 masks and busts in cone 5 clay. Some were based on faces that I had seen, including my own and various neighbors and some were fanciful fictional, much like my puppets and paintings.
